NOMADLAND 10 September

During our initial screenings, as we try to assess how we operate in these Covid-conscious days, seating will be limited and we will only be able to guarantee seats for pre-booked ticket holders. We also ask those who have pre-booked to please come early so that we can seat further audience arrivals as safely as possible.

According to the Welsh government regulations (August 2021) audience members must wear a mask while in cinemas and we are subject to that rule. Please bring a mask and be prepared to wear it while attending. We will review the regulations as they are updated.

We use WeGotTickets for online advance booking and encourage people to use this to minimise time spent queueing. There will be 30 tickets available on line per film. Buy Tickets buttons appear in the Current Films menu, or click the logo above. The same booking system is used by Mid Border Arts so if you've bought tickets online for MBA events your registration/login will be the same. More details in Further Information.

All our films are presented digitally. Our current projector produces a superb image which is the equal or better than the film projectors that were our mainstay in the past. Where possible we show high-definition material although occasionally distributors only make standard definition material available. We hope that you agree that it all looks great on our large cinema screen.

Now and then a booking needs to be amended and the advance printed programme cannot be changed so the website is the best way to make sure that the film you want to see is still on. Occasionally disc release dates change and this can result in a forced rescheduling of the screening. If you sign up to our email list on the Contact page you will be sent an email reminder during the week before each screening. Or enter your full address and we will include you in our posted mailing of the printed programme at the start of the season.

Welcome to Presteigne Screen's website and online programme

We are an independent cinema run by volunteers with a passion and fascination for film.

We're reopening! With some trepidation, of course, but we're hoping that with a certain amount of caution we'll be able to bring films back to Presteigne throughout the Autumn of 2021.

Friday 5th November
Film starts 8 pm

*** Due to a change in disc availability there is an alteration to the running order from the printed leaflet:

The Last Bus will now be screened on 22 October and Limbo will then follow on 5 November

*** Please Note: The lift at the Assembly Rooms is currently out of use and so disabled access to the upper floor is not available. All concerned are hoping this will only be a temporary measure and we apologise for the inconvenience to those who need the lift ***

You can also download a printable copy of the current programme when it is available by clicking on the image at right. You will need Adobe Reader or a similar PDF viewer to access the file. Our previous leaflet will be here until then so that you can get a flavour of the sort of films we show.

If you are able to display a poster to promote the screening please click the relevant image in the row below to download a printable copy (when available). Many thanks....
